General introduction

"The Defining Decade" (2012) challenges the prevailing notion that one's twenties are merely an extension of adolescence, suggesting instead that this period is a critical time for laying the groundwork for future success. Drawing from rich personal narratives and intriguing facts, Jay offers pragmatic advice to young adults on pivotal decisions related to career choices, relationships, and personal development. She emphasizes that the twenties are a time of unparalleled brain plasticity, ideal for setting and pursuing ambitious goals.
